280.00

Sea Kayaking for up to 2 persons (+18 y.o.)

Description

Whether you love kayaking, or have never tried it before, this is an awesome way to explore the most scenic rocky coasts in Cyprus. You can enjoy this private sea kayak experience with a friend, a loved one, or by yourself, with an experienced guide who will show you some hidden gems of the Ayia Napa sea caves. The crystal clear waters are ideal for snorkelling, if you are up for it, which will definitely enrich this experience.

The guide will pick you up from your hotel, or an agreed location that suits you, either from Ayia Napa, Protaras, Larnaca or Nicosia. The kayak trip starts from Limnara beach and initially, you will kayak west up to and along the Ayia Napa Sea Caves, including Lovers’ Bridge, and back. If the sea is calm, it is highly recommended that you do some snorkeling to explore the underwater beauties of Ayia Napas clear blue waters.
Depending on time availability and customers preferences, you may also be able to do a go and return trip to Cape Greko Sea Caves complex.

More info

This is a private experience, for up to two persons plus the guide, which means it can be tailomade to fit your needs and preferences, depending on availability of time and weather.

The sit-on-top kayaks are light watercraft, that can be used by individuals with no kayaking experience.

Duration (including transportation from agreed location and back): 6 hours

Pickup time: To be agreed with the travelers.
Usually around 9:00am (it is strongly recommended to start even earlier, as the sea tends to be calmer early in the morning).

Pickup location: At an agreed place (eg hotel, etc).
From Ayia Napa or Protaras the trip would probably be around five hours of exploration. From Larnaca, around (or more than) four and from Nicosia possibly a bit shorter than four hours.

The basic kayaking route:

If there is time and explorers want to, you can also kayak to Cape Greko Sea Caves and back (3.5 / 2 mi).

Transportation: Citroen C8 MPV car (will be informed beforehand in case a different car is used)

Duration

6 hours (including transportation time)

What’s included?

The use of a sit-on-top sea kayak, paddle, pfd, anchor, drybag (only two kayaks in total are available for travellers)
Guiding the trip in general and specifically guiding the kayaking (and snorkeling)
Goods & services tax
Fuel surcharge
Parking fees

Exclusions

Food & drinks

Please note

Not recommended for participants with heart issues or other serious medical conditions.
Travelers can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity.
Minors can participate provided they are escorted by their parent(s).
If the customers agree, in case of forecasted choppy sea, instead we kayak around East Cape Greko (if the weather is expected to be bad everywhere, we cancel the trip).

What to bring

Water is a must (though one could buy in Agia Napa). Sun protection, bathing suite, snorkelling equipment, towels.
Please keep in mind that while we do provide things like a dry bag, travellers should be clear that they would probably get wet and they should not bring along things that would be damaged by salt water.
The kayaks are light, only 18 kilograms each and can go relatively fast, depending also on the weight on them. There is some storage place on them. At the same time, people should keep in mind that increasing the weight on the sea kayaking, increases the work they would need to do to move the kayak forward.
