Whether you love kayaking, or have never tried it before, this is an awesome way to explore some of the most scenic coastlines in Cyprus. You can enjoy this private sea kayak experience with a friend, a loved one, or by yourself, with an experienced guide who will show you some hidden gems of the Akamas coastline. The crystal clear waters are ideal for snorkelling, if you are up for it, which will definitely enrich this experience.

The guide will pick you up from your hotel, or an agreed location that suits you, either from Limassol or Paphos. The kayak trip starts from the Baths of Aphrodite beach and will head west along the rugged coast and cliffs of Akamas north coast. Subsequently, you will reach the flatter part of the north coast, where you will have the chance to kayak and swim along some excellent coves. If the sea is calm, it is highly recommended that you do some snorkeling to explore the underwater beauties of Akamas clear blue waters. Depending on time, availability and your preferences, you may be able to kayak as far west as Blue Lagoon cove.

This is a private experience, for up to two persons plus the guide, which means it can be tailomade to fit your needs and preferences, depending on availability of time and weather.

The sit-on-top kayaks are light watercraft, that can be used by individuals with no kayaking experience.

Duration (including transportation from Limassol or Paphos and back): 8 hours

Transportation: Citroen C8 MPV car (will be informed beforehand in case a different car is used)

Pickup time: To be agreed with the travelers.
Usually around 9:00am (it is strongly recommended to start even earlier, as the sea tends to be calmer early in the morning).

Pickup location: At an agreed place (eg hotel, etc) from Limassol or Paphos. From Limassol we may have around four hours on the water and from Paphos probably closer to five hours.

The basic kayaking route:
Along north Akamas coast up to Amphitheater beach (9 km / 5.5 mi) (from the beach at Baths of Aphrodite going west and back)

Please note

A maximum of two people kayaking at a time.
Not recommended for participants with heart issues or other serious medical conditions.
Travelers can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity.
Minors can participate provided they are escorted by their parent(s).
If the customers agree, in case of forecasted choppy sea, the kayaking trip can take place along Pegeia coast . But if the weather is expected to be bad everywhere, the trip will be rescheduled.

What to bring

Water is a must (though one could buy in Latchi). Sun protection, bathing suite, snorkelling equipment, towels. Snacks are also recommended.
Please keep in mind that while we do provide things like a dry bag, travellers should be clear that they would probably get wet and they should not bring along things that would be damaged by salt water.
The kayaks are light, only 18 kilograms each and can go relatively fast, depending also on the weight on them. There is some storage place on them. At the same time, people should keep in mind that increasing the weight on the sea kayaking, increases the work they would need to do to move the kayak forward.
